As a nonprofit our mission is to promote literacy and educational equity by providing free, age-appropriate books to school-age children. Through school partnerships and community connections, we work to inspire young readers and nurture a lifelong love of learning.
Cultivating a Love for Reading
Books to Bloom was founded with the mission to empower young readers by giving them access to books they can call their own. Through partnerships with schools and community organizations, we aim to foster a lasting love for reading and educational growth. Our goal is to spark curiosity, ignite imaginations, and instill a lifelong passion for learning through the joy of reading. By providing children with the tools to explore new worlds and ideas, we believe we can help shape a brighter future for generations to come. Our commitment to empowering young readers goes beyond just providing books; we strive to create a sense of ownership and pride in each child’s personal library.
What We Do
- Distribute free books to students starting in early elementary grades, with plans to expand to K–12
- Partner with schools, shelters, and community organizations to reach children in underserved areas
- Create meaningful literacy experiences, from book bag giveaways to pop-up reading events and free mini-libraries
- Build home libraries, one child at a time
